1.Welding explosion-proof valve of Lithium ion batteries

Battery explosion-proof valves are the thin-walled valves on the battery sealing plate.  When the internal pressure of the battery exceeds the specified value, the valve body of the explosion-proof valve ruptures to prevent the battery from bursting. The safety valve has an ingenious structure and the valve needs to be precisely welded on the battery. Thus, laser welding method is the first choice. Adopting continuous laser welding machines can achieve high-speed and high-quality welding. And welding stability, welding efficiency and yield can all be guaranteed 

2.Welding battery tab

Usually, battery tabs are made of three materials: the positive terminal→aluminum, negative terminal→Ni/Ni-Cu. During the process of making lithium ion batteries, one step is to weld the battery tabs and poles together. It requires that the tabs and poles should be welded firmly. 3. Spot welding battery electrode strip

The materials used for the battery electrode strips include pure aluminum strips, nickel strips, aluminum-nickel strips, and copper strips (scarcely used). Continuous laser welding equipment is used for welding battery electrode strips. Because of its good beam and small welding spot, it has unique advantages in the welding of high-reflectivity aluminum strips, copper strips and narrow-band battery pole strips (the pole strip width is less than 1.5mm). 

4.Welding battery case and cover

In general, the battery case and cover are made of aluminum alloy and stainless steel. And the best welding method is continuous laser welding.

5. Welding battery module and pack

The series-parallel connection between batteries is generally completed by welding the connecting piece and the single battery. The positive and negative electrodes are made of different materials. Generally, there are two materials: copper and aluminum. Generally, copper and copper, aluminum and aluminum are welded by laser. 

Notice: copper and aluminum should be welded by ultrasonic.
